Step 1: Pick your firearm, on www.raisingthe2nd.com, of course.
Raising the 2nd firearms has many different firearm styles to choose from. Whether you are looking for a personal self-defense firearm you will carry daily, a home defense firearm, your next range toy, or a historical firearm you saw in your favorite movie, we have it. If we don't have it, let us know, and we will get it. You can search site by name, manufacturer, Universal Product Code (UPC), or just browsing the categories. Add the item you want to your cart like you would on any online store.
Step 2: Picking your favorite local FFL Dealer
We have added a search function to our site to make it easy for you to find a local FFL dealer. This works much like a store locator you use online. We have 25,000+ FFL dealers listed on our site. If for some reason they are not listed with us, let us know who they are, and we will reach out to them to finalize the shipment.
Step 3: Payment
Grab your wallet, grab your payment card, and enter them digits. We have no credit card fees, so feel free to use any card you want.
Step 4: Checkout
Bada bing, you just bought yourself a new firearm. You will receive confirmation of your purchase with all the shipping details and when you can expect to receive your awesomeness. At Raising the 2nd, your new pewpew friend will be packaged and shipped to your chosen FFL Dealer.
Step 5: Picking up your firearm
Once your local FFL Dealer has received your firearm, you will receive notification from us that your chosen dealer has received your item. Most dealers will call you within 48 hours to let you know your firearm is ready to be picked up, but you are welcome to call them to check if they are ready for you to come by.
When you arrive, you will need to complete the following steps with your local dealer. This is the same process if you were buying the firearm directly from that dealer.
You will fill out a background check form, also referred to as form 4473.
The FFL will conduct a NICS, National Instant Criminal Background Check System, with the FBI.
Once your background is processed and you are approved, you will pay the FFL's transfer fee and BOOM, that beautiful pewpew is yours!!
